As a goal digger at heart and someone who frequently chases after resolutions (and catches them) I needed to share with those of you struggling in this area. I’ve always been concerned about my health and strived to create the healthiest body I could for myself. But over the last couple of years despite my best efforts I was gaining weight and starting to have some serious health problems. I was so discouraged because I was trying SO HARD to be healthy. As I researched how this could be happening I discovered some things that I was eating that were actually sabotaging my efforts. They were common ‘health’ foods that many people in my life eat regularly (as did I) and they actually worked against my health goals. I’m sharing them with you in case you are having the same struggles I did.
I did it. I have finally reached a place of being sick and tired of being “sick and tired.” That’s a good thing because I’m a quintessential Type A personality and it takes a whole heck of a lot of crapola for me to wake up and read the writing on the wall when things aren’t working.
As I contemplated my guiding word for 2019 I realized that I was in a really frustrated, grouchy and exhausted place and I was tired of it. My guiding word evolved and it was PEACE and here is why and how I plan to use it in the coming year to grow, and rise!
